Donuts and beer are two of our favorite things, so what could be better than putting them together? North Fork Doughnut Company and Destination Unknown Beer Company teamed up to create the one-of-a-kind Strawberry Frosted Donut Milkshake IPA. This beer is crafted from oats, strawberry glaze, and frosting. If you’re curious about this beer, you can try it at Tullulah’s.
On Thursday, February 28 at 6 p.m., Tullulah’s will host the release party of the Strawberry Frosted Donut Milkshake IPA. Not only will you be able to try this unique beverage at our release party, but you will also be able to enjoy our raffles and a donut tasting.
The Strawberry Frosted Donut Milkshake IPA is “a marriage between two things everyone loves,” said Jimmy Lyons, the co-owner of North Fork Doughnut Company. The beer is also inspired by The Simpsons. The beverage is even named after the IPA featured in the animated sitcom.
Before opening his donut shop, Lyons worked in the beer brewing industry for over ten years. While working in this industry, he met Chris Candiano, who is the co-owner of Bay Shore’s own Destination Unknown Beer Company. The pair decided to work together as small business owners to combine their passions.
After the release party at Tullulah’s, the Strawberry Frosted Donut Milkshake IPA will be available at beer distributors, bars, and restaurants that are Local to Locals certified. Locals to Locals is a certification company, which informs customers of locally owned and operated businesses.
“It is a good way to bring awareness to a ton of local businesses and showcase beer distributors and bars and restaurants,” said the founder of Local to Locals, Andrew Preston.
Over 50 beer distributors and eight bars and restaurants will carry the drink, but you can get the very first taste by attending the Tullulah’s release party. Make sure to make your way to our location on Thursday, February 28 at 6 p.m. You can find Tullulah’s at 12 4th Avenue in Bay Shore.
